Lore! The Ancient Deities

Long ago in the land of Niraking, before the crusade found their way into Niraking, deities of great power roamed the land. The land was a sacred land to them, and when the crusade of fourteen found their way to the land, they thought so too. This caused the crusade to split and begin to fight, leaving only an evil knight and a good knight. The good knight banished the evil knight to Boil Mountain where he made an escape through a portal powered by a gemstone taken from three goddesses. Those three goddesses took that gemstone and split it into three parts to hopefully lock that evil knight in the realm he had entered. As more people moved to the land of Niraking, the deities found it fit to move onward to a better land; however, before leaving, the three goddesses had taken the sword of the good knight and forged it into the Gallant Sword. 

Alas the effort of splitting the stone were not string enough to keep the evil knight out of the land. Now known as Lord Venson, the evil knight has returned to Niraking and wants revenge on the descendants of the good knight, the legendary knight that first saved Niraking.
